Hi there!

I’m Ramma. I'm a user researcher, entrepreneur and designer, which means I understand the problem, the person, and what it takes to actually build something.

I have fifteen years of experience working on dynamic projects across scale, sector and industry that push my limits and are driven by purpose and impact. I enjoy working with diverse and passionate teams but, if required, am also great at working on my own.

I thrive in fast-paced environments and don't mind shifting between skills if and when a project demands quick adaptability.

A little more about me...

I have over a decade of experience running a self-founded design agency where I led a wonderful team of designers, web developers, copywriters, digital marketeers and mentored design interns. We worked on some brilliant projects together.

Over ten years, I delivered 200+ client engagements across a diverse range of sectors and scale. From user testing for startups making educational kits, kiosk designing for a large-scale solar energy company to brand strategy and way-finding for universities and social businesses. It’s been quite a ride!

Lately, I’ve been working as a user researcher at Digital Catapult, London, using my skills to help improve the Made Smarter Digital Supply Chain Hub. My work directly informed platform feature improvements and led to the launch of a new Funded Opportunities Aggregator feature, driving a 60% increase in engaged sessions on the platform.

As a service design co-ordinator at Central Saint Martins, I led a qualitative research programme working closely with students and key course stakeholders to improve the student learning experience. My research directly shaped course development of a Master's programme.

Additionally, I run a Community Interest Company (CIC) called Compost Collective. We work with communities, organisations schools and campuses to set up CompoStations and deliver a range of workshops and educational programmes about food waste cycles, soil health, and how to compost at home or at your workplace. I’ve raised over £30k+ in funding for our CIC.

Compost Collective's ongoing CompoStation project diverts approximately 2,400 kg of food waste annually, saving an estimated 1.44 tonnes of CO₂e for our client.

We also conduct youth programmes, like the one at Waltham Forest and run educational programmes in schools.

Things I love...

Problem solving, thinking wide and deep, zooming in and zooming out, planning, organising, and lived expereince expertise.

I love learning new things and am a big-picture and small-detail kind of person. When I am working on a project, I love to immerse myself in it. Understand it fully and work dynamically to take it further.

I would love to collaborate with organisations that share the same spirit.

Things I don't enjoy

Micro-management, reactive working, last-minute panic, unnecessary corporate jargon with no follow-through.

I think expertise shows up in how someone thinks and what they've actually done, not just in whether they use the 'right' terminology. The skill lies in explaining complex ideas clearly.

I love working with people who care deeply about their work and turn good intentions into real-world impact.
